AKE Wood-Tech (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd offers a comprehensive range of precision cutting tools that caters for the furniture making, flooring, building material and non-ferrous metal processing (such as aluminium) industry. AKE Wood-Tech is the result of many years of successful collaboration between Wood-Tech Prime Industries from Malaysia and AKE Knebel GmbH & Co. KG from Germany www.ake.de

Initially established in 1991 as a sales and distribution entity, Wood-Tech established a working relationship with AKE to market its range of tools in Malaysia and the ASEAN region in 1998. From those humble beginnings, this collaboration expanded into the areas of servicing as well as manufacturing. In 2001, a servicing facility was established in cooperation with AKE with the aim to offer diamond tooling refurbishing and repair services for customers in the region. Over the years this facility has been continuously expanded and modernised and today this facility is now one of the best equipped diamond tooling production and servicing facility in the region, second only to our sister facility in AKE Thailand.

In 2013, Wood-Tech Prime entered into another collaboration with AKE to establish a regional manufacturing production facility for carbide tools resulting in the establishment of AKE Wood-Tech (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. Today tools from both the diamond and carbide production facilities are sold domestically as well as exported throughout the rest of Asia.
